About xvp™
xvp itself (standing for Xen VNC Proxy) is a proxy server providing password-protected VNC-based access to the consoles of virtual machines hosted on Citrix® XenServer™ or Xen Cloud Platform.
It can be used to gain access to VM consoles without having to run XenCenter™, and from any operating system that has a VNC client, not just Windows. By suitable use of VNC passwords, it can provide delegated access to the consoles of particular virtual machines.
xvp is written in C, and runs on most recent Linux distributions. xvpappliance makes use of a pre-installed xvp to provide users with access to VM consoles.
